
This year's six-day “I LOVE GHANA” patriotic show on the 4Kids channel on MultiTV will be airing at 4:00PM from 1st – 6th March, 2013, in a live program themed “How can today's youth be empowered in Ghana?”
Due to the nature of this year's topic, the “I Love Ghana” TV show will serve as a gateway to highlight socio-economic hindrances that affect youth empowerment in Ghana today. During the show, children will have the opportunity to express how they would like to be motivated in order to effect change in Ghana; there will be a screening of previously taped interviews with students from various Elementary and Junior High Schools sharing their views on youth empowerment.
The “I LOVE GHANA” show which runs twice a year on Independence Day and Republic Day; it is just one of many educational programs on the 4Kids channel and specifically seeks to instill patriotic values in children.
As an extension of the program, students have been invited to participate in this year's 4Kids Essay Competition entitled: “What Role Can Today's Youth Play in the Development of Ghana?” The competition is open from 1st – 31st March, 2013 and entries can be dropped off at the MultiTV office at Kokomlemle, opposite Joy FM.
