
The Ghanaian music scene has seen a tremendous improvement for almost 2 years now. Artistes from the country have taken the opportunity and are now breaking through boarders to showcase their talents to the world.
Sometime back, artistes from third world countries were not given much attention and focus even though they had great talents and mindset in the music industry. With perseverance and determination, 2 rappers from a third world country for the first time have been able to be featured on the MTV USA.
Columbian rapper MC Dementor & Ghanaian rapper Decordha teamed up with American rapper Soulja Boy on a track “Starz Life”, which is going viral as the day passes by. The Video, which is currently the most viewed African Hip Hop video on Youtube has been featured on MTV USA, an American based website which is a branch of MTV. In an interview with OMGGhana.com, MC Dementor said
“Its an great thing to be recognized by a media house as big as MTV when you are from a third world country like Decordha & Me. This poses as a challenge for us to put in more effort into our works so that we reach greater heights and get more recognition and expand our fan based”
