Songstress Raquel Ammah, known on stage as Raquel has said she has learnt from the negative publicity she received early this year when she was photographed inappropriately dressed on stage.

She had been dressed with intimate parts of her body showing on stage and attracting widespread condemnation and in some cases, scorn.

The incident received nationwide condemnation with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), pleading with sections of the media to rescind their decisions to publish the photographs.

Seven months after the incident, Raquel said she had learnt from the incident but discounted claims that the incident forced her into hiding.

She told Myjoyonline.com in an interview that she rather took time off to finish her maiden album.

'Hiding so that I can focus on the album which I have been trying to put together for a long time, I had to hide so that I can finish it and now it is finished so I am no longer hiding.'

According to her, she had had bad and good publicity but it came with the work.

These experiences, she noted, 'You don't forget, you just learn from them but you don't stop what you are doing because there is some bad publicity, I might have had one or two bad publicity this year but I guarantee my fans that there is going to be a lot of great publicity also.'

The 'Sweetio' singer was happy for the enormous support her fans had given her during the incident. She pointed out that, 'they don't judge me because I make one or two mistakes I am human I think everybody when you go through certain things, its only right for you to learn from it.'

She said her maiden album would be hitting the market soon and fans should expect about 15 songs on it. It featured several artistes including, Samini, Sarkodie, D-Black and EL.
