GURU’S LAPAZ TOYOTA WINS OFFICIAL SONG FOR EASTER
Empire Records signed artiste Nana Yaw Maradona but popularly called Guru has won the official song for this year's Easter festivities with his current Azonto rave song 'Lapaz Toyota'.
The rapper won this year's theme song by popular request as many music lovers, from Hi-life, Hip – life, gospel or reggae kept on screaming one phrase: 'Odo me di car no be ma' (baby I will give the car to you) which is always ended by a different person with 'Lapaz Toyota' on different and several occasions on many platforms.
Easter season always come with a popular theme song, last two years was Nana Boroo's Ahaye de' ft SK blings, in 2011 was the Adabraka boys 5five and in 2012 it is nobody but Darkuman cum Tema rap soldier Guru.
Lapaz Toyota is one fun song to listen to, if it is not about the melodious beat, (a different feel of Azonto beat produced by Ball J) that will get your feet moving, it will definitely be that catchy phrase in the song or the popular funny choice of a car, 'Lapaz Toyota'.
In a statement from the Manager of Empire Records, Mr. Daniel Obeng – Fianko popularly called CEDIS, he noted that, this year Guru is the main man to watch inside the Kwahu as the hit man will be on major platforms doing what he loves to do best, entertain his fans this Easter.
