The origins of fancy dress parties in the world can in some respects be traced to masked balls of the 18th century period, although fancy dress parties of the modern kind are a largely Victorian conception expanded upon by the Edwardians.

Notable amongst early events in the 20th century was the Chelsea Arts ball. Such events were often elaborate affairs and for the most part confined to those with considerable means.

Accra fancy dress party is a yearly event organized by 2nd image International which has been in existence for the past three years. With this year marking the 25th anniversary of 2nd image international.

Last year thousands of gatherers took to the forecourt of 2nd Image International, to witness the event.

According to the organizers it will be a displayed of beautiful sight of bright costumes and friendly faces.

The main idea of this party is to allow everybody to outdoor their mentors or their favorite's personality in a way of appreciation to what they have done the whole year. Also show to the world the Skills, professionalism and talent being inculcated into the students. Gate proceeds will be used to support kids in Children Homes.

All of the costumes being used for the Accra fancy dress party are being design, sowed by student of 2nd Image College of Fashion.

The event will take place at the forecourt of 2nd Image International next to Adabraka Police Station on the 16th December 2011, 7pm prompt.

The Accra fancy dress party is being organizes by 2nd Image International and sponsored by Mobotho Systems, identity management, Tennsity Media consult, Mediashop and Refresh Entertainment.
