Ghana has come into international prominence lately, most especially after the last two world cups in Germany and South Africa respectively.
The country's music stars are also doing well to catch global attention, as a few of the musicians are said to have linked up with, or signed deals with American superstars, such as Akon, Joe, etc.
This time 'Wusuaah collection', owned by a 23 year old Belgium born Ghanaian, Contance Ama Owusuaah takes the fashion dimension to international level. At the just ended New York and London fashion week, she sealed off a clothing deal with American R&B king, R. Kelly.
In addition, she also made good sales (pricing from $25,000.00) of her clothing line to stars like Omarion, Tyson Beckford and Solange Knowles, younger sister to music diva Beyonce Knowles.
With majority of almost all the American superstars present at the New York fashion show, it was obvious the absence of pop star Michael Jackson, was acknowledged by the other celebrities.
The designer, Owusuaah, expressed her greatest gratitude to God and for Pierre- Antoine Vettorello, a Belgian designer, who she claimed has played a very remarkable role in her success.
