
NEW YORK, NY - (August 1, 2011) - In 30 days, the city of New York will be alive with excitement, and fanfare as the three day long event weekend for the NEA Awards kicks off. The award show is one that Nigerians, and Africans in the US look forward to yearly not only for the great events and avenue to celebrate the entertainment industry, but also for the opportunity to watch outstanding stage performances by their favorite artistes, meet and greet actors and actresses they support, and mingle with other entertainment industry celebrities who will be present.
This year, the producers have ensured that the line up of performances gracing the NEA Awards stage is more power packed than in previous years. The performance line up includes Mr. Incredible aka M.I, “Gongo Aso” crooner 9ice, Mr. Wene aka Duncan Mighty, the 10/10 rapper Naeto C, Mr. Capable Banky W and the "Oleku" rapper, Ice Prince. Other artists scheduled to perform include, Wiz Kid, Rotimi, Sound Sultan, Flavour and a host of others.
Holding it down for the female artists are R&B and Soul singers, Waje, Zaina, the "Kele Kele Love" singer Tiwa Savage and singer/songwriter May7ven.
This year's Award ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 4th, 2011 at the Symphony Space Sharp Theater, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, NY. Pre show starts at 4pm. The show will be anchored by Comedian Julius Agwu and Actress Funke Akindele aka Jenifa.
Tickets for the show are now on sale and fans are advised to ensure that they purchase their tickets and RSVP for events as soon as possible. Also ticket holders are encouraged to arrive at the Award ceremony in time to avoid losing their seats, and missing the shows.
