GLOBAL MEDIA ALLIANCE GHANA LIMITED SWEEPS FIVE AWARDS AT RTP AWARDS

Accra, 27th June 2011: Media conglomerate, Global Media Alliance Ghana Limited (GMA) over the weekend swept five awards at the Radio and TV Personality Awards ceremony held at the State Banquet Hall in Accra. Four presenters from the respective business units of GMA and its Managing Director for Commercial Operations were all honoured at the awards.

etv Ghana's Gideon Aryeequaye was adjudged the Male Television Newscaster of the Year, station Manager of etv Ghana JOT Agyeman swept the Television Programmes Director of the Year. Other employees of GMA who were honoured include Y FM's Miss Naa who was adjudged the Most Promising Radio Presenter of the Year and presenter of etv's Late Night Celebrity show took home the most promising Television Presenter of the Year.

In recognition of his immense contribution to the development of media in Ghana, Global Media Alliance's Managing Director for Commercial Operation, Akwasi Agyeman was also given an honorary award.

Executive Chairman of Global Media Alliance, Edward Boateng says 'we are really proud of the individual achievement of our employees and we congratulate each one of them for their hard work and contribution to making the company great'. The four presenters expressed their gratitude to their viewers and fans for their support and encouragement.

The event which brought together people from across all walks of life was graced by former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, some state officials, media personnel and other high profile personalities. The show was interlaced with performances D Crime, from C.K. Mann, Gyedu Blay Ambuley, amongst others.
