Two of the nation's best-known guitar players, and George Darko are among the artistes scheduled to feature in this year's Guitars in the Park concert from 4.00pm on Saturday, August 28 at the Rufus Green Parks at Ashiyie, about 10 minutes drive from the Adenta Barrier on the Dodowa Road.
Guitars in the Park event is an annual open-air guitar festival meant to offer first-rate entertainment in a pleasant setting.
It spotlights guitarists and other string artistes working in various genres of music including highlife, reggae, jazz, rock and traditional.
Also slated to perform at the upcoming show, which is the third edition of the Guitars in the Park concert series, are the Kyekyeku Syndicate, JahWi and the Kri Ke Deke band.
The maiden edition of the festival was held in 2008 and artistes paraded included highlife legend Ebo Taylor, Ken & the Clef Afrique, Ras Bomba & the Gawuta Band, John Collins' Local Dimension band and Ketey Oflifo.
Last year's edition showcased performances from acts such as Akablay and his Abiza band, traditional music from Burkina Faso, jazz by Spratz & Candence and Eden Jazz and reggae by Ras Fawzi.
Organisers of the concert say this year’s event promises to be the best yet.
