The "Magykk" of Miss Caribbean & Commonwealth

Magykk Myers has risen to the top and she is looking for other fellow-Ghanaians to follow her example. The 20 year-old student from East Ham in East London so impressed by her performance in the Miss Caribbean & Commonwealth contest that she was asked to stay with the title as Contestants Co-ordinator.

Now Magykk is looking for contestants for this year's 23rd Miss Caribbean & Commonwealth to emulate the successor of her friend and fellow-Ghanaian model Shirley Dee, a recent winner of the Miss Caribbean & Commonwealth. There were also two other earlier Ghanaian winners in Margarette Kyei and Augustina Lyons. With several other runners-up Ghanaians have made a considerable influence on the title in recent years, in which their rivalry with the Trinidadians has become legendary. Both communities pride themselves on their professionalism and the support they are given by their communities.

The criteria for success are good looks, a pleasant personality and knowing how to behave. These are haracteristics which recent title-holders, whether they have been Caribbean or African, have shown on their promotional tours to Ghana.

Support of contestants from Ghanaian businesses is always welcome - even though Miss Caribbean & Commonwealth does not have an overall sponsor which might show bias to any individual country.

All ladies who consider that you have what takes to be the next Miss Caribbean & Commonwealth are welcome to apply. The title takes not have the traditional pageant restrictions in respect of age - though for legal reasons you must be at least 17 years old, height, marital status or background.
