NEW private footage of the Jackson family saying their emotional goodbyes to Michael emerged today. The family is seen gathering around to pay their respects as the star's coffin is brought into the private funeral service.
Sister Janet, dressed in black and fighting back tears, is shown to her chair while Michael's parents Katherine and Joe look on anxiously.
The heartfelt moments were broadcast in The Jack5ons: A Family Dynasty, a new reality TV show following Michael's brothers Jermaine, Tito, Jackie and Marlon, the four surviving members of the Jackson 5.
The show started filming before Michael's death from a heart attack in June aged 50, and was set to follow the brothers as they planned a comeback to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band.
The series starts with the brothers bickering over who was boss and who was to blame for the band first splitting, but things turn serious as Michael's death is announced at the end of the first episode.
The famous four are shown talking of their feelings for Michael's loss at the start of episode two — with Jermaine and Jackie both breaking down in tears.
Jackie says through sobs, as he recalls getting the news: "It is very hard for me. I called my mum, she told me it was true. She was screaming on the phone, hollering, crying."
Of the funeral, he adds: "It was a great experience to carry my brother, all the brothers carrying him. If I had to carry him 100 miles I would do it."
