Efe Omorogbe, Other COSON Directors Use Our Money To Build Houses—African China

African China has described the crises rocking the Copy Right Society of Nigeria (COSON) and the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC), as personal business venture.

The artiste stated that the media houses, have the right to play any artiste song because it is part of promotion.

He noted that COSON is suppose to collect some certain amount of money and then take their percentage before sharing the remaining to artistes under its contract.

“COSON has turned our royalties into personal business. If you ask a radio station not to play an artiste song, do you have another job for us? You no want make we no chop again? We suffer to promote our songs and not COSON. Now they have moved from music to movie. If I have my way, I will quit COSON. Am waiting for my contract to expire. Even when they pay the royalty, its peanuts.”
