The speculated break-up between top music label, Kennis Music and one of its artistes, Jaywon is refusing to die down. There have been rumour in some sections of the media and in some quarters in the music industry that Jaywon is no more happy with the label that brought him into limelight.
In few months time, the contract with the label will expire. But there are still speculations that the music artiste will not extend his stay with Kennis Music.
Sources claimed that both parties are at loggerheads over the matter. Jaywon has kept sealed lips on the matter as to whether he will leave the label. He has severally denied any rift between him and Kennis Music.
Speaking to Nollywoodgists.com again on the matter when contacted on phone to confirm if he has now agreed to extend his deal with Kennis Music or not, the 'This Year' crooner said he can't decide what happens now until his present contract expires.
“Why not let my contract expire first before we talk about whether I will extend my contract [with Kennis Music] or not,” Jaywon told Nollywoodgists.com.
He revealed that when the contract ends, he will then decide what to do with his life at Kennis Music.
Jaywon was discovered by the label in one of its Easter shows. Few months later after performing at the event, he penned a deal with them and became a household name in the Nigerian music industry.
In his first year at Kennis Music, Jaywon won the 'Best Music Video' at the Nigeria Music Video Awards (NMVA) in 2009.
His present single 'This Year' is gaining massive air plays both on TV and radio stations in Nigeria.
