Some days ago, my attention was drawn into a statement made by a presenter of a top Lagos radio station, Ayo Makinde about Linda Ikeji not being a role model but a 'gossiper' as the presenter puts it.

Of course, I laughed at it especially with the new coined word 'gossiper' by our nobody-knows presenter.

First of all, it called gossip and not 'gossiper.'

To me, I saw the whole thing by our 'gossiper role model' presenter as a publicity stunt for her. But she took the wrong step and chose the wrong person.

When you are made, you are made. Neither do I know, met Linda nor Ayo but if the truth must be told, then, we can say that Linda is doing a great job.

For Ayo to have said on air that Linda should not be taken as a role model but a gossip is uncalled for.

Ayo, do you know the number of people she may have inspired into taking blogging as a serious business?

How do judge a role model? When have you become an authority on that subject?

Well, Ayo, you have undoubtedly gotten the attention you intended with your statement on air. Good or bad, at least, we now know that one Ayo Makinde exists in a Lagos radio station. Good one!

For Linda, all I have to say is that, whoever God has blessed, no man can cause.
