GENEVIEVE NNAJI AND OMOTOLA RIFT TAKES A NEW DIMENSION

The long face-off between the two beautiful and delectable actresses never seemed to end as both don't see eye to eye.

It should be recalled that Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde have been at loggerheads for some time now over seniority in the make believe business.

The age-long feud played out during the production of Chineze Anyaene's multiple award winning movie, “Ïje: The Journey.”

The silent rivalry,we gathered nearly ruined the production of the big budget movie.

According to source, while the movie was being shot in Los-Angeles, it was a running battle to get the two heavy-weight actresses to work as a team.

In fact, according to sources close to the producer of the movie, except for the ceaseless intervention of the cast and crew of the production, none of the two actresses was ready to play a second fiddle to each other.

“At a point, we stopped shooting because they wouldn't submit to each other. Chineze had a tough time trying to appeal to them to show understanding by returning to the set. Omotola wouldn't want to play supporting role to Genevieve. And that was the battle we faced during the production of the movie.” our sources hinted.

In the movie however, Genevieve played the role of Chioma, the lead character, while Omotola played that of Anya, her sister.

In a recent interview,Omotola was asked how she cope with rivalry within the industry;she said In life,people have people they get along with.You may just not get along with your contemporaries.Its the fact of life.Personally,I am not very close to so many people not because of work or rivalry,but because I am just removed from the everyday life they live.
