Ghana Fashion Awards 2015 Comes Off In Style.....Check Out Full List Of Winners

It was a congregation of the crème de la crème of various personalities in the fashion industry last Saturday night at the World Trade Centre, Accra to witness the 2015 Ghana Fashion Awards.

The awards is aimed at bringing together and harnessing the shared aspiration, skills and knowledge of all designers and the fashion community to thrive for excellence in fashion advancement and improvement towards an economical industry in Ghana.

The event was hosted by e.TVs John Osei-Tutu Agyeman, a.k.a. JOT and Vanessa Gyan with special music performances from Adomaa and Nana Ama.

In his address, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, Managing Director of Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company, said, ‘’promoting made in Ghana products and services is a responsibility that e.TV holds very dear as evidenced in activities like e.TV ‘Made in Ghana’ month held in September every year,’’ adding that, ‘’the awards is yet another of the ways through which we are providing the unique platform to acknowledge and appreciate outstanding players in one of Ghana’s most vibrant industries.’’

Mr. Agyeman expressed appreciation to everyone who has contributed to bringing Ghana’s fashion industry this far.

The high point of the night was the coveted Fashion Design Brand of the Year which was won by Pistis, as well as the induction of the late Kofi Ansah into the Ghana Fashion Hall of Fame.

Becca, M-Simps, Julie Bocoum and others won awards on the night. However, it was the glitz, glamour and style of the night that distinguished this year’s Ghana Fashion Awards. The night was filled with various fashion enthusiasts, designers, diplomats as well TV personalities like Jon Gemain, Chemphe and many others. One unique experience was the extra-ordinary way in which people were dressed which portrayed that fashion was ruling the night.
