Mammoth Baby Boy Stunned Parents and Doctors

Ten days ago, a newborn baby boy shocked both his parents and doctors who helped him to draw the first breath, Washington, USA.

Francisco Leon Ortiz was born by C-section and was weighing a tremendous 6 kilograms 660 grams. When Francisco's dad saw the son he immediately left the hospital to buy new clothes as he didn't fit into any clothes they had already bought.

Stunned doctors at the Birth Center at Grays Harbor Community Hospital said, “We deliver babies of all sizes, but it is not every day that we deliver and care for a baby as large as Francisco.”

Large babies are often the result of gestational diabetes, but his mother, Yessica Ortiz Delgado, had no such issues through her pregnancy. However, Yessica and her husband had two other children who weighed almost 6 kilos each at birth.

Both mother and son are doing well, but the newborn will have to visit hospital for further check ups. It seems that giant babies will become a norm soon, earlier we published the story about a   baby girl born in Colorado, USA, whose weight was 6 kilograms 350 grams.
