It is the mother of anger . At the roots of many angry outbursts is pride. Proud people are known to easily get annoyed. Everybody struggling with anger should first deal with pride and arrogance.

It is at the root of constant argument in marriage. Every proud person always wants to win an argument at home.

Leads to unhealthy competition between the husband and wife at home.

Leads to stalemate during communication. Proverbs 13:10

It is at the root of endless wars in marriages.
It brings shame. Proverbs 11:2
Makes the marriage difficult. Proverbs 25:15
It is the foundation of foolishness.
It shuts out the presence of God from homes and makes Satan to work against the family. (1 Peter 5:5, James 4:6).
