WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND?

on your mind

“For the son of God, Jesus Christ… was not 'Yes' and 'No', but in him it has always been 'Yes'. For no matter how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so through him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God”. 2 Corinthians 1:19-20

“Oh, God, I feel so sick. My head hurts. My stomach aches. I'm gonna miss a week of school. Heal me!”

Have you ever prayed like that? If so, don't ever do it again!

We need to go to God on the basis of what He can do for us- not on the basis of what we need. That's just the way faith works.

I learned this years ago when I needed healing. Now, I don't ever go to God and tell Him how sick I am, and then ask for healing.

Isaiah 53:5 proves that Jesus already provided for my healing when He died on the cross and rose again. So when my body is feeling sick, I pray:

“Thank You, Lord, for providing healing for me. By faith I receive it now, in Jesus' name. I agree with Your Word which says that by His wounds I have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24).

Remember this: If you talk about what you need over and over again, it will be on your mind so much that it will put your faith in a headlock, and you won't be able to receive what God has for you. If you talk about God's promises over and over again, they will be on your mind… and it will be the most natural thing in the world to simply reach out by faith and receive what He has for you!

Prayer point: O' Lord my father let me reach out in faith to receive all you have destined for me in Jesus name.
