Elikplim Akorli's 'A Heart's Quest'

A HEART'S QUEST is simply a collection of the author's musings, experiences through the phases of life and the dimensions of thought and belief he has been exposed to. The content is arranged under four sections where the poet surfs on waves of philosophy, abstractness and sexuality fueled by oceans of emotion.

'Africa needs to start looking at things differently if it would make any real impact on the world stage; young folks like myself need to inspire this trend;' the poet passionately expresses, 'A Heart's Quest is a step towards this initiative.'

The literary scene in Ghana is sprinting by leaps and bounds and Elikplim Akorli contributes his quota earnestly in this historic direction.

Elikplim Akorli read African Studies, Classics and Philosophy at the University of Cape Coast for his degree and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration at GIMPA. He came up top 10 in the maiden edition of the UN Peace Poetry Contest in October, 2011.

He has performed spoken word poetry on several platforms such as the conference of National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Ghana and 2013 Durbar at Golden Tulip, ALEWA as well as Ehalakasa and graced several FM stations including Yfm, Unikue Fm and Citi Fm with his poetry.

Performing at the launch of A HEART'S QUEST will be Nana Asaase, Chieff Moomen, Vanessa Medie (Butterflae) and Kwame Write.

The event promises to be one of outstanding performances plus live band music, but more importantly one with a purpose to support the birth of a rare jewel fetched from the rich matter of a creative mind; A HEART'S QUEST.
