It was an exciting evening on the red carpet of the 13th edition of the Ghana Music Awards, and just as the pre-event hyped suggested, the celebrities came out to impress.
Some however failed, and tried so hard to get it, as their outfits on a night that was supposed to be glamorous, couldn't fly.
A superfluity of bad colour match-ups, avoidable fashion blunders and over simplicity gave some out as not so in tune with the latest trends as well as what makes a good awards night-out outfit.
Fast-rising young female act Sallah and back-to-base television presenter Dede, were adjudged as the worst dressed on the night while Jocelyn Dumas, Menaye Donkor and Becca, were simply awesome.
Dede wanted to go in mild and funky just to make a statement about her return to mainstream entertainment in Ghana almost after a half a decade hiatus but that simply couldn't work.
Sallah was overly posh in her all black cleavage-popping black strapless gown with cut outs on the waist. But that, too, didn't do her enough good.
From movie stars to music icons, the Fashion 101 red carpet set up at the Dome of the Accra International Conference was greeted with an impressive number of industry people, who set out to give off their best.
Fashion 101 returns to TV3 very soon but it is still showing on GHOne, Cine Afrik on Multi TV and Homebase TV.
The producers have however said the Ghana Music Awards edition will be aired this week on Homebase TV.
Fashion101 is powered, produced and packaged for television by Emerald Paradise Productions.
