BET-winning Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, known by his stage name Sarkodie, has announced the release of a new mixtape for his fanbase.
Titled ‘The Championship Mixtape’, the mixtape is meant solely for his fanbase, Sarknation, and will be dropped on Friday, May 24.
In a post on Wednesday, May 8, via X, Africa's most decorated rapper said the decision to feed his fans with a new mixtape was made a few days ago.
"Decided a few days ago to drop a mixtape for SarkNation! Everything will be happening in real time so we're in this together. The tape drops on May 24 (could be earlier) ... More info coming up #TheChampionshipMixtape," his post reads.
Fans have been calling on the reigning Ghana Music Awards' Artist of the Decade to release a new album.
The rapper's last body of work was a 10-track album titled "Jamz" released on November 11, 2021.
The project has since been followed by hit singles such as "Otan", "Don't Try Me", and "Been a Fool for You".
