Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam has expressed regret for not taking his education more seriously earlier in his career as he chased fame.

In a recent interview with Sagani TV's North Arts program, the award-winning artist opened up about how his stubbornness in school has hurt him now.

"It's not that I wasn't knowledgeable, my classmates can confirm that.... just that I was stubborn back in school and I have regretted it already," Gadam lamented to interviewer Sadik Cybha.

The musician rose to fame in 2017, following the success of his song ‘Total Cheat’, featuring Africa’s most-decorated rapper Sarkodie.

However, he has since realized the importance of furthering his education to open more doors.

He has advised upcoming singer not to choose fame over education because they may regret it later as he is now.

"If you are upcoming artists please don’t allow fame to deceive you because education is important," he advised.
