Ghanaian rapper Medikal has opened up about learning the importance of self-love following his separation from his wife actress Fela Makafui.

The award-winning rapper said it took him a long time before realizing he doesn't necessarily need another person's love to survive.

In a post via X on Wednesday, April 10, the ‘Omo Ada’ crooner said he is currently in deep love with himself.

“It took me a long time to realize you don’t necessarily need anyone’s love when there is self love, I’m selfish with love right now, I’m so In love with my self,in fact I’m obsessed,” he wrote.

This post seeks to affirm earlier reports that he and Fela have ended their romantic relationship after four years of marriage.

The rapper, whose real name is Samuel Adu Frimpong, said they will continue co-parenting their daughter.

Meanwhile, many in the industry say those reports are just some stunts the rapper is pulling to garner attention for his upcoming show at Indigo O2 in London.
