The music scene in Ghana is always buzzing with incredible talent and it's so exciting to see artists like Sarkodie, Camidoh, Shatta Wale and Gyakie making waves and capturing the hearts of music lovers. Now when it comes to the question of who holds the title of the king of music in Ghana, it's a topic that sparks a lot of debate and discussion. Some argue that it's Camidoh while others believe it's the legendary Shatta Wale. And of course, there's Sarkodie who has undeniably made a significant impact on the music industry.

According to the celebrity watch conducted by Research 8020 Limited on the top 50 musicians in Ghana for the year 2024, Sarkodie sits at an impressive number 1 position which solidifies his claim as the king of music. With over 179 million views on YouTube, he has truly made his mark. One of his most iconic songs, "Adonai" featuring Castro has amassed a mind-blowing 95 million views, showcasing his immense popularity and talent.

It's interesting how Sarkodie is often referred to as "the landlord" in the music industry. Just like a landlord who owns and controls a property, Sarkodie has taken ownership of his craft and has become a force to be reckoned with. He's not just a musician, he's a trendsetter who has left an indelible mark on the Ghanaian music scene. His influence extends far beyond the borders of Ghana and he has become a symbol of pride for the entire nation.

But here's something really exciting to talk about, the rise of Gyakie. She's a rising star in the Ghanaian music scene and her talent and popularity are skyrocketing. In Research 8020's recent top 50 musician list, Gyakie holds an impressive position at number 2. That's no small feat, especially considering her young age and the fierce competition.

What's even more remarkable is that Gyakie has become the most viewed female artist in Ghana. Can you believe it? She has joined the growing list of Ghana's boomplay golden club after hitting over 100 million total streams on boomplay. It's incredible to see her making such a significant impact and gaining recognition for her talent.

As for whether Gyakie will become the top musician in the upcoming years only time will tell. The music industry is always evolving and many talented artists are competing for the top spot. However, Gyakie's talent, hard work and growing fan base put her in a strong position to continue making waves in the industry. Gyakie is proving that she has what it takes to captivate audiences and create music that resonates with people. As long as she keeps honing her craft, there is a chance she will continue to rise and achieve even greater success. Perhaps she might become the next queen of music in Ghana.
