A secular and free website (http://humanrightstoday.info) has hacked. On 25th November, 2009 the site was hacked by unidentified enemy. It was a web news portal about human rights, press freedom, minority oppression, peace, democracy and for the people's those who have no voice.

It was operating from Bangladesh by journalist Jahangir Alam Akash. Journalist Akash was brutal persecuted by so-called elite force RAB, because he was disclosed the inhuman atrocity of RAB in Bangladesh. With his profession he has earned huge enemy from Islamic militant group, few political corrupted persons, and a few influential from the administration.

After his persecution Akash was starting this website. And then he went to Germany. From Germany he was operating his site. The site was getting popularity. This is the only site, which was publishing the actual facts and figure regarding the human rights, press freedom and minority oppression of Bangladesh. Akash, has no economical ability to continue this site. So, now he has starting his blog (http://jaakash.wordpress.com/).

Jahangir Alam Akash is a professional journalist, writer and human rights defender based in Bangladesh. He was the editor of this site. He has worked with Radio German-DW, Ekushey TV, CSB News, oldest Bengali newspaper in Bangladesh the daily Sangbad, Dainik Bangla, Ajker Kagoj, the New Nation, the Morning Sun, APB etc.

He was also working as a regional coordinator of Bangladesh Rehabilitation Center for Trauma Victims (BRCT). He was the general secretary of Rajshahi Union of Journalists, Rajshahi University Press Club, and executive member of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ). Akash was also involved with cultural organization. He was the publicity secretary of historical cultural organization of Bangladesh 'Udichi Shilpi Goshthi' of Rajshahi district unit.
