For some time now, Ghanaians have been bombarded with news of SAKAWA among the youth. The news of four young men in their pursuit of "spiritual money" and their predicament of turning into snakes first reported by Peace Fm has taken Ghana by storm. Many logical and paranormal explanations has been offered. With the enthusiasm that this topic has generated among Ghanaians both home and abroad, it is very important for one to share a good news when the truth about the whole story seemed to be coming up. A station in Ghana, Hot Fm is dissecting the whole story. To hear the full story contact modernghana.com for Hot Fm's number.
Ghana is evolving as far as media development is concerned. This development has led to the mushrooming of many community radio stations. Some of them are quality ones and others not so so, but all in their own ways are trying their best to educate and inform the masses of quality news. Behind all the radio station's presentations are presenters. Among one of the leading and up and coming djs cum presenters is NYANSABOAKWA.
NYANSABOAKWA's full name is being held as a classified identity for the time being but all I say is that his name is an Akan version of his christian name, WISDOM. Yes, that is Wisdom, a real cultural gem who is carving a name for himself as far as culture is concerned.
NYANSABOAKWA, the host of the TOP Radio's NSEM PII is a prolific drummer, superb folk dancer of Adowa, Kete and most of the Ghanaian traditional dances. He is a professional master of ceremony, enthusiastic poet and motivational speaker. He has also written cultural books on Ghanaian dances. He is a cultural consultant to the Owoaman Cultural Troupe and the Owoaman SPACE Youth Institute of New Edubiase.
NYANSABOAKWA started his djing craft with Radio Mercury as an associate dj. He worked his way into getting a position at Capital Radio until he was hired by the HOT Fm who saw some potentials in him....he was hot as we all can bear.
NYANSABOAKWA has worked with a number of International Cultural organisations including the International Center for African Culture & Arts,USA, Bowie State University,Maryland, the Center for World Folkloric Arts,USA and the Ghana Percussive Arts Society.
