GPN is a serious research project which needs the help of Ghanaians to make an important contribution to the history and culture of the country. We are trying to find out the meaning & origins of as many place names in Ghana as possible, with a view to publishing our findings if sufficient information is forthcoming.
At the moment schools in Ghana are being invited to join in, so teachers who can supervise research as an extra-curricular activity are urgently needed. Individual researchers can also make a valuable contribution by asking questions in their locality and submitting findings to the project. All contributors will be acknowledged.
