Kibi Men''s Training College (KIMENSCO) 1968-1974

Posted by Prince Obiri-Mainoo on Mon, 21 Aug 2006 - [Missing]

I am just looking to connect with any of the students and tutors of our beloved Kibi Mens'' Training College (KIMENSCO) from 1968-74. If you know of any one who attended that prestigous college in Kibi, Akim Abuakwa or taught there, please get in touch with me at peeob@yahoo.com.

One of our hardworking tutors, Mr. J.T. Dadebo is visiting the U.S. for about two months. It would be an opportunity to connect and chat one more time.
There are a few of us around here in the U.S. and would love to know the whereabouts of the others. Other tutors I remember are as follows:

Messrs Takyi, Eworyie and Opare (Geography)
Mr. G.T. Dadebo, Duncan (P.E.)
Mr. Leo A. Oware (from Akropong Akuapem) English
Mr. E.B. Adjei Mathematics
Mr. Agyei (the former headmaster of OPASS and chairman of headmasters'' association)
Mr. Simpson Art
Mr. Antwi (Agric Science) from Apapam, Kibi
Dr. Ayim Boakye of Development Studies, U.C.C.

Some of our students included Kwame Oppong Nkrumah (once with Barclays Bank of Ghana), Kwame Bekoe (from Akropong Akuapem), Theophilus Zu (from Togo) Jacob Adams (from Accra), Prof Benjamin Ofori-Amoah, Mr. Isaac K. Nsowah (Headmaster of Jamasi Secondary School), Mr. Asiamah from Kibi and once District officer at Kibi, K.B. Amponsah Dadzie aka Kamuzu Banda(from Cape Coast), Casca Bina (from Shama), Roland Kofi Boamah from Abetifi and Dr. Joseph Addae Mensa (JAM).
Three of our tutors we know have died are Mr. K.B. Adarkwah (Music), Mr. K.S. Asante, formerly Regional Science Director at the Eastern Regional Education Office, Koforidua and our principal, Mr. E.K. Todzro.

Thanks for reading!
