Former first vice chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Nitm is cautioning against divide and rule tactics in the party.

According to him, victory for the NPP in the 2016 elections will be a mirage if they fail to present a united front.

In a statement copied to Myjoyonline.com, Mr. Ntim said “the much talked about Victory 2016, would be a mirage if we fail to give genuine unity a chance and adopt an all hands on deck approach to prosecute the victory 2016 agenda. We ought to see ourselves as family, and as such the bond between us is the sword that defends the party and ultimately the country”.

He urged party members to be tolerant of each others' views ahead of its delegates congress on Saturday October 18 th , 2014.

“Our tradition has no room for insults, insinuations and elbowing out our perceived opponents. In the spirit of entrenching democracy in our party, we are all encouraged to air our opinions and campaign for the individuals we believe in,” he stressed.

“Let's think victory, lets act unity and let brotherliness be our guide, since we can not disappoint the people of Ghana with our actions and inactions. Our people are crying for economic emancipation”.

Stephen Ntim, who has declared support for two-time presidential candidate, Nana Addo- Akufo strongly believes he is the right person to lead the NPP to victory in 2016.
