The NPP chairman for Mampong Constituency Honourable Thomas Appiah Kubi has denied claims that all Regional and Constituency chairmen has endorsed Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be the party presidential candidate again ahead of the party national congress which is to be held in October.

Hon. Appiah Kubi emphatically said albeit he respects the individual decisions to openly announced their preferred candidate, he believes in secrecy and would not publicly declare his support for any candidate in the race including Nana Addo Dankwa.

There have been litany of campaign for the twice defeated presidential candidate to lead the NPP again which has resulted to the create of the hashtag '#sheiNana' on social media.

About Seven candidates, including formal trade minister Alan Kyeremanten and presidential candidate for 2012 elections, Nana Akufo-Addo submitted their nomination forms. The NPP is therefore going for a special delegates congress on August 31 to prune down the number of candidates to five according to the party's constitution.

There have been heated campaign where supporters of the two most contenders harangued and write unprintable words, discredited and accused each other. According to reports, some regional and constituency chairmen have thrown their weight behind the two times failed presidential aspirant.

Hon. Thomas Appiah Kubi however explicitly disassociate himself from the reports and said he only wish the "two gentlemen well".

He added, the election is supposed to be secret therefore he stands to gain nothing in making public declaration of his preferred candidate.
