The Member of Parliament Elect for Chiana Paga Constituency has revealed that his re-election to the office of Parliament after four years absence is a clear attestation to the fact that He delivered during his first tenure.

According to him, the people missed his development centered leadership and accessibility after the NPP Candidate Alowa Leo Kabah was favored ahead of him in the 2008 Elections.

An unresolved internal party wrangling In the run-up to the 2008 elections led one prominent party Member to context for the seat as an independent candidate and eventually won got over 6,567 votes that could potentially have gone the way of Abuga Pele who poled 7,380 as the Candidate of the Party.

The outgoing NPP candidate got rewarded for the rift in the NDC and made his way to parliament with 8,323 votes. Exactly 943 more votes than Abuga Pele and 53 more than the NPP Presidential Candidate Nana Addo who felt short of 6617 votes to Professor Mills the then NDC Presidential Candidate.

To reclaim the constituency that had always fallen to the NDC until 2008, the constituency resolved all their differences and went into the 2012 elections united and got rewarded for it.

To Hon. Abuga Pele, his victory has sent a clear message to the rank and file of the party that it is only in unity that they can always emerge victorious again their main opponent, the NPP.

He further called on the party to draw a line between information that should be made available for public hearings and those that should be treated as internal issues .

He noted that but for the many internal wrangling that almost overshadowed the good work the party did, the just ended elections would have been won by wider magin.

“Every organization that is human centered, would have to go through problems due to individual difference”

“The only way to ensure that the differences does not destroy the cohesion needed to achieve result is to use the structures within the organization to solve the problems and also apply sanctions where necessary”

He further commended the people of Ghana for choosing President Elect John Mahama to lead the nation.

According to him, in John Mahama, the nation couldn't have made a better choice.

“John Mahama is an embodiment of quality leadership and I believe the people of Ghana derive huge dividends for making this decision”

He further called on Ghanaians to give him time to deliver on his promises and not treat him with the kind of prejudice that greeted Mills' Reign.

“Every government needs time to achieve result and this is no exception to the rule”
