Apostolic Church Ghana launches anniversary

  Mon, 16 Nov 2009

Accra, Nov. 15, GNA - Reverend Christopher Affum-Nyarko, Nii Boiman District Head of the Apostolic Church, Ghana has called on Ghanaians to unite and rededicate themselves towards nation building.

He said it was only through unity of purpose and the zeal to serve the nation other than the individual interest that Ghanaians could make meaningful contribution to national reconstruction.

Rev. Affum-Nyarko made the call at the District launch of the 75th Anniversary celebration of the Church at Nii Boiman in Accra on Sunday.

Some of the activities planned for the year-long celebration, which is on the theme: "Great is thy Faithfulness," include medical screening, evangelism, Bible quiz, musical show and the inauguration of a Retreat Conference Centre at Fafraha, near Dodowa.

Rev. Affum-Nyarko advised Christians to desist from immorality, which may tarnish their image.

He said: "As a Christian there is the need for one to win souls for Christ and if you are leading a bad behaviour how can one follow you?"

Rev. Affum-Nyarko urged parents to instil in their wards a sense of discipline for others to emulate.
