More than 1,400 students have moved into the new Nchumuruman Community Day Senior High school at Chinderi in the Volta Region.

President Mahama who inaugurated the School block Wednesday expressed optimism that the students could who achieve a modest pass mark of 40 percent under the makeshift structure, will score higher marks with the provision of the new block.

The 24 classroom facility has ultra modern ICT and science laboratories and Libraries which will enhance the teaching and learning of Science.

President Mahama promised to extend the free Community Day Senior High School to cover more students in deprived communities nationwide.

He called for effective partnership between the chief and stakeholders to ensure the proper maintenance and management of the school.

The President threw more light on the progressively free Secondary Education Programme which will cover boarding students in deprived districts across the country.

President Manama said plans are far advanced for the Chinderi district to be hooked on to the national grid.

The President promised to complete ongoing road projects within the district.

The Minister of Education, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang said the only way to thank President Mahama for fulfilling his pledge to provide a community Senior High School for Nchumuruman Community is for the students to perform excellently academically.

She advised the Regional and District Directors of education to regularly monitor the school for its smooth operation.

The Chief of Chinderi, Nana Bonja was full of praise for the President for the successful completion of the Nchumuruman Community SHS to enable deprived youth in the area to access quality education.
