The general exercise is expected to pave way for major renovation works to commence on the facility to give it a facelift before football in the country makes a return when the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis is over.

A statement from Kofi Asare Brako, personal assistant to the Sports Minister has said: The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah (MP) will embark on a general inspection exercise for major renovation works to commence at the Sekondi Sports Stadium, Essipong at exactly 12 noon today”.

Top government officials expected to be present for the inspection exercise are Hon. Joe Ghartey (Minister of Railways Development), Hon.
