The Main Thing Hearts Of Oak Is Lacking Is Consistency – Joe Addo
Former Black Stars defender Joe Addo has identified a lack of consistency as the main problem that has denied the Hearts of Oak team success in the last decade.
The Ghana Premier League giants and former winners of the CAF Champions League title have not been able to win the league on the local scene for the last ten years.
In that run, the Phobians have changed at least 18 managers with most of them failing to spend even a year at the club.
While the wait for a league triumph continues to give supporters a taste of the old days, their former defender Joe Addo says it will only be possible if they give a manager the time to work for a long time.
“The main thing we lack at Hearts of Oak is consistency. I think we should pick one coach, give him the power to go ahead for a long time. If we change our policies every now and then, it will not help us”, Addo who played as a center-back for Hearts at the beginning of his career told Joy FM on Saturday.
Hearts of Oak have already sacked one manager this year after they showed coach Kim Grant the exit door after he lost the first match in the Ghana Premier League campaign against Berekum Chelsea.
With coach Nii Odoom now in charge, Joe Addo hopes he will be given the time and support to work.
