Covid-19 Fight: Legon Cities FC Applaud Frontline Workers On May Day

Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC has applauded frontline workers in the country leading in the fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.

On a day where the world is marking the International Workers Day, the club which was formerly known as Wa All Stars says they salute to recognize the sacrifice these health workers are making to combat the deadly disease.

“What an amazing job our health workers are doing in this moment...We can only salute them on a day like this”, a post on the Twitter page of Legon Cities FC said on Friday, May 1, 2020.

Ghana’s confirmed cases of the Coronavirus stands at 2,074 as of today’s morning. Though there have been 212 recoveries, 17 people have sadly lost their lives to the disease which has been declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).
