The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to meet to discuss how it will use the incoming stimulus packed from FIFA, a member of the Executive Council Dr. Tony Aubynn has disclosed.

FIFA is distributing $150 million to its member associations to help mitigate the financial challenges caused by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

It is understood that the Ghana FA stands to benefit $500,000 from the stimulus package from the world football governing body and will receive the money in the coming days.

Speaking to Angel FM on Friday night, GFA Executive Council member Dr. Tony Aubynn says the body is yet to decide what the money will be used for.

“I have heard about it but I have not seen any documentation on it. The Exco will meet and look at the instructions from FIFA before we decide on how to use the money”, Dr. Aubynn who is also a board chairman of Medeama SC shared.

Due to the closure of all Ghana FA offices as a precautionary measure against the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, the meeting of the Executive Council according to Dr. Tony Aubynn will take place on zoom.
