The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended their condolence to former Black Stars defender John Paintsil following the passing of his mother a couple of days ago.
The mother of the former Fulham full-back, Madam Juliana Adiaba Paintsil sadly joined her ancestors on Tuesday after she was hospitalized at the Nyaho Clinic in Accra.
Confirming the news yesterday, John Paintsil in a post on social media said: “Sweet Mother, Sweet Mother, it was heartbroken to see you leaving me yesterday. My heart was broken and its still hurt mum...you did so well to set a good standard for all of us. Mother" I say Ayikoooooo nammie. Go well mother....we Love you ahhh ahh ahh. RIP MUMMY”
In a Twitter post from the Ghana FA today, they have extended their solidarity to John Paintsil and his family.
“The entire Ghana Football family wishes to express our heartfelt condolences to John Paintsil and your family in this very difficult period. May her soul rest in perfect peace”, the post reads.
