Veteran Ghanaian coach J.E Sarpong has revealed he enjoying his days as a coach of Asante Kotoko but insists he regrets taking the coaching jobs at Aduana Stars and Great Olympics.

The respected coach remains one of the most experienced trainers on the local scene after handling quite a number of the clubs in the Ghana Premier League.

At a time where football has been suspended due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Coach J.E Sarpong has been reflecting on his journey.

Opening up on his time with some of the clubs, the gaffer has recounted some of the horror moments where fans of some clubs threw stones at him with others spitting on him at some point.

“I lost my job because of Isaac Kwain disobedience during my time in Dwarfs while Gilbert Fiamenyo was good but overweight at that time.

“I have been stoned like Stephen in the Bible before, ladies have spit saliva on me before”, Coach J.E. Sarpong recounted in an interview with West FM.

He further shared that he enjoyed his stint with Premier League giants Asante Kotoko but regrets coaching Great Olympics and Aduana Stars.

“Olympics, Aduana Stars are the teams which I regret coaching, whiles I enjoyed my time with Kotoko and Liberty”, the coach observed.
