Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko have assured fans they will pay the US$ 240,000 FIFA fine before the 10 May 2020 deadline to avoid being relegated, according to reports in Kumasi.

The 2 times Ghana Premier League champions were initially fined US$ 180,000 for illegally registering striker Emmanuel Clottey who was in the books of Esperance.

But the Ghanaian giants deferred in payment and the amount accrued an interest of US$ 45,000 and an extra US$ 15,000 to the committee which ruled on the matter.

However, Executive Chairman Dr Kwame Kyei has agreed to make full payment to Esperance.

In return, Kotoko will demand full payment of Kwame Bonsu's US$ 150,000 transfer fee.
