Ace Power Boxing Promotions regret to announce the postponement of their much-publicized press conference at the Accra Sports Stadium and International Boxing Federation (IBF) Super Welterweight Africa boxing bout in the Volta Region of Ghana on April 11, 2020.
According to the Communications and PR manager, Mr Prince Dornu – Leiku, the postponement was due to the coronavirus scare and the directive from the president, Nana Akuffo Addo for Ghanaians to stay away from public gathering till a solution has been found.
He said in the interest of public safety and in compliance with the presidential directive, the wish to cancel the programmes and the new date would be announced in due course.
He advised all sports and boxing fans to observe all safe health guidelines and directives as well as practice the best hygienic methods.
Meanwhile, the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) have also issued a statement to caution, cancel or postpone all sports events and programmes until further notice.
