Medeama Sporting Club (SC) has defeated Techiman Eleven Wonders 2-0 at the Tarkwa Akoon Community Park today as they keep their hopes of clinching the Ghana Premier League title alive.
The Yellow and Mauves are one of the few clubs tipped as contenders to emerge as winners of the Ghanaian domestic top-flight league at the end of the season.
Though the club has been inconsistent at times, they have managed to grab important 3 points from key home and away matches in the past.
In a Match Week 14 clash with Eleven Wonders this afternoon, Medeama SC has produced an outstanding performance that has earned them all 3 points on the back of a two-nil win.
The Tarkwa-based club took the lead as early as the 14th minute in the first half when talisman Akwasi Donsu hit the back of the net.
Though the home team could not add to their tally before going into the break, they returned from recess and continued to dominate their Matchday opponent.
In the final 10 minutes of the match, midfielder Agyenim Boateng scored Medeama’s second goal of the day to ensure they maximum points were protected at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win means that the club gets to stay in the second position on the same points  with Aduana Stars who is occupying the top spot.
