The Aqua Safari Beach Resort at Ada was the action spot on Sunday for the open water events at the 7th CANA Swimming Championship.

Swimmers from Senegal really proved their worth and won both male and female races.

Ghana’s female swimming star, Zara Forson was beaten by Jeanne Bouthien of Senegal.

The competition was exciting and interesting with 34 swimmers registering and 10 not completing.

President of CANA Zone 2, Monsieur Mohammed who participated in the open water race at the 7th Africa Zone 2 Swimming Championship on non-scoring basis commended the swimmers of Africa for bonding and showing comradeship among the nations.

“I love the friendship and commitment to the sport and the competitive spirit,” he said.
