Accra, May 8, GNA - Black Stars coach Ratomir Djukovic will present his final 23 players to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday, May 11 for approval and onward submission to the world soccer governing body, FIFA.

Djukovic is expected to furnish the Association with the list 48 hours after the team's international friendly against Nice of France on Tuesday May 9.

The Serbian intends to use the game to apprise some players who have the potentials of appearing at the summer championship scheduled to commence in Germany on June 9.

The Stars make their debut at the World Cup in Group 'E' comprising Italy, Czech Republic and the United State of America.

The GNA Sports can confirm that coach Djukovic, who made history last year by qualifying the team to a maiden appearance at the Mundial, has about eight slots to complete the already-half-way made list.

Players like Derek Boateng, Razak Pimpong are among the few who would be fighting for a place in the team which would automatically have skipper Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, Mathew Amoah, and goalkeepers Sammy Adjei and George Owu.

German-based Oto Addo, Richard Kingston and Eric Addo secured places in the team during the Stars one all drawn game with Stuttgart in Germany a fortnight ago.

Hans Adu Sarpie, Addoquaye Pappoe, John Painstil, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Issah Ahmed and Haminu Dramani are among the players also expected to make the squad.
