GPL Matchday 11: Bechem Utd Defeat Liberty 2-1

Bechem United has defeated Liberty Professionals 2-1 today in a Match Week 11 fixture at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

The two domestic top-flight clubs were in action earlier this afternoon to seek for a win that would earn them 3 points at the end of the 90 minutes.

A good start to the match produced a goal after just 6 minutes of action when Moro Salifu found the back of the net to shoot Bechem United into a deserved lead.

The home team grew in confidence after that equalizer as they dominated their opponent. Six minutes to end the first half, Bechem United doubled their lead courtesy a strike from Abdul Karim to ensure they went into the break with a comfortable lead.

In the second half, Liberty Professionals improved their performance to try and get back into the game. At the end of the encounter, their efforts only produced a goal from George William Ansong.

That equalizer only halved the deficit but could not save the side from suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bechem United.
