Japanese trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi has disclosed that he was recently contacted for the head coach role at Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.

The Dade Boys remain without a head coach following the resignation of Coach George Kwofie a couple of weeks ago. Though assistant coach Seth Hoffman has taken over, the capital-based club is required to appoint a head coach with a CAF License A certificate soon or face sanctions.

Reacting to speculations that he is set to be named as head coach for Great Olympics, Kenichi Yatsuhashi has confirmed contact from the club but insists he is yet to reply.

“There have been a rumor that I am interested in Great Olympics job in Ghana Premier League. The fact is that there was someone who contacted me for the job but I never contacted them”, the former Hearts of Oak head coach said in a post on Twitter.

He added, “I understand that they don’t have a ‘permanent coach’, that is their problem to fix, and I hope they will fix it sooner than later.

“Ghana Premier League is a great place to work. I don’t deny a possibility to work there again”.

With the head coach situation still not resolved, Great Olympics will go into Match Week 11 of the Ghana Premier League under the guidance of coach Seth Hoffman.
