Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Nettey has stressed that he wants to keep calm and concentrated on helping the team despite all the hype he has been getting in the Ghana Premier League.

The experienced midfielder has been outstanding since completing his move to the Accra-based side. He made his first appearance in the ongoing season for the Phobians in a Match Week 4 fixture against WAFA.

On his debut, his hard work and dominant play in midfield won the hearts of supporters who have been lauding his performance in all the six matches he has played.

In an interview with Tv3, Emmanuel Nettey says he will not allow the hype to get to him. According to him, he wants to stay focused to help Hearts of Oak to ensure he gets to put himself on the map.

“I am Emmanuel Nettey and I have my own style of living so I just try to be myself, not to live to any hype that comes with it.

“Just be myself, be humble, take my training seriously and pray. Hopefully, I can help my club and by helping the club I think I will be able to put myself on the map”, Emmanuel Nettey shared.

He continues to perform in the Rainbow colours and has received additional applause from supporters off the pitch after he gifted a customized replica jersey to a disabled staunch Hearts of Oak fan last week.
