Swimming Ghana To Host CANA Zone 2 Senior Swimming Championship

The new swimming pool at the Bukom Sports Emporium will be put to test when Ghana hosts the 2020 CANA Zone 2 Senior Swimming Championship from the 5-8 March 2020.

22 countries will be represented in Accra, Ghana to compete in the new facility at the Trust Emporium and the Ghana Swimming Association is inviting the sports media for a press briefing of what to expect from the Championship and how the media can apply for accreditation as well as promote the international event on Wednesday 5th February, 2020.

The Ghana Swimming Association has scheduled to meet media houses interested in covering the competition to support and make this first championship at the venue a success.

The president of Ghana Swimming Association, Mr Theo Wilson Edzie said the pool is ready at the right time and urge more Ghanaian to learn how to swim and compete for the nation.

He was very sure that the Ghana swimming team will take advantage of home support to win, despite the expected stiff opposition.

Meanwhile, boxing coach Asare has commended the sports emporium for constructing the pool as it will serve other sportsmen and women including boxers.
