Accra Hearts of Oak has bagged GH¢361,449 from the gate proceeds accrued from their Ghana Premier League clash against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko last weekend.

The Phobians hosted the Porcupine Warriors at the Accra Sports Stadium in a Match Week 6 fixture of the Ghanaian top-flight dubbed the ‘Super Clash’.

An entertaining fixture at the iconic venue ended 2-1 in favour of the away team with Justice Blay and Naby Keita getting on the scoresheet. For Hearts, attacker Joseph netted the only consolation for the side.

At the end of the match, National Sports Authority spokesperson Charles Amofa revealed that a staggering GH¢ 724,446 (US$ 130,000) was accrued from ticket sales.

Subsequently, there have been deductions for VAT and payment to the NSA for the use of the Accra Sports Stadium for the encounter. An additional payment of GH¢51,000 was paid to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), leaving Hearts of Oak with GH¢361,449.
